Kraken Update

My primary focus this week: Getting the Kraken diorama in a place where I can begin to assemble all my objects in 1 scene.

I've adjusted the Kraken so the legs are longer (per suggestion), cut down the tris from 6,000 some odd tris to 3950, Unwrapped the mesh, and I'm in the process of sculpting.

  2. I am glad you removed some unnecessary edges but you might want to add more where needed such as on the tentacle divisions for positioning....If he is going to be posed his edges will be too sharp. Think of this object as a hero or main object since your eye will be drawn into it more than likely. Also think next gen which means you can bump him up a bit for these arms. Determine his position first so you don't make any unnecessary divisions but pretty much on all major joints areas you see your creature moving. Make them a 3 split as in 3 edges. This gives a nice shape. Are you positioning it in Zbrush or rigging and positioning? I have a MEL script that activates a tentacle arm for rigging

  3. Great! Thanks for the feedback, I planned on positioning by rigging!
